We Created Sofuna Because We Wanted Something Better

We’re Dorothy and Eleanor, the women behind Sofuna.

Like so many women, we spent years accepting that feeling supported meant feeling uncomfortable.

Tight bands. Straps digging into our shoulders. Underwires we couldn’t wait to take off at the end of the day. And extra layers underneath our clothes just to feel properly covered and supported.

As our bodies changed over the years, one thing became very clear to us:

We didn’t want to spend another day choosing between comfort and confidence.

So we decided to create something better.

Designed by Women Who Understand

Sofuna began with a simple idea: what if one everyday top could give us the comfort, coverage and support we wanted — without the discomfort of a traditional bra underneath?

We didn’t want something designed for a mannequin.

We wanted something designed for real women and real bodies.

Women with curves. Women whose bodies have changed. Women who want to feel supported without feeling squeezed, restricted or overly exposed.

And most importantly, women who still want to look beautiful while feeling completely comfortable.

So we started working on the Sofuna Built-In Bra Tank.

We wore it ourselves.

We tested the fit.

We adjusted the support.

We changed the little details that didn’t feel quite right.

And then we wore it again.

Again and again, we refined the design until we had something we genuinely loved putting on.

Because we believed that if it wasn’t comfortable enough for us, it wasn’t good enough for you.

Comfort Shouldn’t Have an Age Limit

Somewhere along the way, women are made to feel as though getting older means accepting less.

Less choice.

Less flattering clothing.

Less comfort.

We don’t believe that for a second.

At Sofuna, we believe this stage of life should be about knowing exactly what you want — and no longer settling for things that don’t make you feel good.

You deserve clothing that works with your body, not against it.

You deserve support without the digging, pinching and adjusting.

And you deserve to look in the mirror and feel comfortable, feminine and confident in what you’re wearing.

That belief is at the heart of everything we create.

The Original Sofuna

What began as a solution for ourselves quickly became something much bigger.

More and more women discovered the freedom of getting dressed without automatically reaching for an uncomfortable bra.

And as Sofuna grew, we began seeing more products that looked similar to what we had created.

But for us, Sofuna has never been about simply making another tank top.

It’s about all the thought, testing and refinement that went into getting the feeling right.

It’s about creating something we were proud to wear ourselves.

And it’s about continuing to improve the product based on what women actually want from their everyday clothing.

Sofuna is where our idea began — and we’re still just as passionate about it today.

From Two Women to Thousands More

When we first started, we were simply trying to solve our own frustration.

Today, knowing that Sofuna has become part of so many women’s everyday lives is something we never take for granted.

Every time a woman tells us she finally feels comfortable again…

Every time someone says she can wear a top without worrying about uncomfortable straps or underwire…

And every time Sofuna becomes the piece she reaches for first in the morning…

It reminds us exactly why we started.

We created Sofuna for ourselves.

But we built it for women like you.
